It’s The End of The World As We Know It

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Karl Rove has put Indiana in the Obama column. The Gary-Post Tribune has endorsed Mitch Daniels for Governor. Sarah Palin is making a third trip to Indiana in two weeks. And gas in my neighborhood was $2.36. I think I just saw my neighborhood cats and dogs dancing with each other.

Sunday Morning Posts

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

With a little more than a week to go before Election Day, here’s what I’m hearing out and about. John McCan’t 2008 More and more Republicans are expressing their frustrations with the John McCain campaign in Indiana.  As one high level official put it, “They are disorganized!”  He also added, “Luckily they are not so […]

A Little Food For Thought

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

I had dinner last night with some politicos from Hamilton County. Apparently earlier this month a poll was taken of more than 400 Hamilton County residents on the Presidential and Governor’s race.  The results. President John McCain – 53%. Barack Obama – 47%. Governor Mitch Daniels – 75%. Jill Long Thompson – 23%. It’s a […]

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Indianapolis Public Schools have really stepped in it this time. Not only is it being reported that the school district admitted to hiding plans to close four of the schools with enrollment under 300 students listed on the November 4 referendum construction ballot which would spend $278,000,000 of your hard earned property tax dollars, but […]

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Word is the local branch of the NAACP is filing a federal lawsuit against the Marion County Board of Elections seeking a declaratory judgment that no citizen will be denied the right to vote if their home has been foreclosed and they have been forced to move. Of course there has been no evidence of […]

One Moment, Please

Oops!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Here are examples of some those moments in politics when things don’t go quite the way they were planned. The Obama campaign wants to charge the press for access to its election night party in Chicago. The RNC apparently spent quite a few bucks on Sarah Palin’s wardrobe and hair. The Jill Long Thompson campaign misspelled […]

A new poll is out by Public Policy Polling regading the major races here in Indiana.  Here are the results. President Barack Obama – 48% John McCain – 46%. Governor Mitch Daniels – 57%. Jill Long Thompson – 36%. Attorney General Linda Pence – 42% Greg Zoeller – 39% Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett […]

Was This Worth $25?

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Here is JLT’s new ad that’s going up on TV in some parts of Indiana.  Her campaign offered supporters the chance to get a sneak preview for a $25 contribution.  Would you have forked over the cash or have waited to have seen it somewhere on television?
