Regional Development Authority declares independence
The Post-Tribune of Northwest Indiana reports, “RDA board insists on self-rule, out of state’s shadow.”
Holding off discussion of potential multimillion-dollar plans, the Regional Development Authority declared its independence from the state Tuesday.

Members of new board said they were reluctant to adopt more of Clark’s suggestions, worried they may be seen as a state agency, rather than a local development board.
